As far back as the Second World War jerrycans have been used for transporting water. LIFESAVER systems have revolutionised this 60 year old storage technology. We have completely redesigned it from the ground up. It incorporates LIFESAVER’s now famous filtration technology allowing users to process up to 20,000 litres of clean sterile drinking water without the aid of chemicals.
Water is weight!
Delivering it even short distances is time consuming and expensive. It requires long logistic chains to maintain supplies. This problem is acutely evident during military operations. A study by the US Department of Defence shows the cost of delivering bottled water to Afghanistan at $4.69 per gallon. Delivering water within theatre is an even more expensive, dangerous and time consuming operation, tying up man power and subjecting troops to increased levels of risk, just for delivering water!
Drinking water on the move
The LIFESAVER jerrycan allows patrols to stay out for longer as they are no longer dependent on bottled water. It gives FOB’s the ability to provide a plentiful supply of great tasting sterile drinking water. No more drinking ‘swimming pool’ water.
Designed to be carried in all military vehicles the LIFESAVER jerrycan will significantly reduce vehicle weight as water can now be scavenged from local sources. Less carried weight means more room for increased vehicle protection!
