Tow Points have been designed as matched pairs, supplied in LH/RH for vehicle specific fitment. Your purchase will include high tensile bolts, and any additional, vehicle specific mounting hardware required to ensure secure fitment to vehicles. Correct fitment of these components is critical for yours & others personal safety.
Each pair of Tow Points is supplied with vehicle specific fitment instructions. These instructions should be followed during fitment to ensure all steps are taken for correct installation, so when required, the points will be at their optimum Working Load Limit (WLL) as stamped.
These are tough. They look tough, they act tough - they weigh in at 7.5 kgs each! FEA Tested during development and rated to WLL5000kgs, the RP-RAN02 was designed to include a few trick features that make them so easy to fit. From the locating pins, to the lead in bolts, and locating hooks on the washer, the RP-RAN02 simply just bolt up! Designed for fitment without a bull bar, RP-RAN02 are supplied complete as a bolt on pair (if bull bar is fitted, modifications might be required to the bar bracket and/or additional hardware might be required).
The standard points on the front of a 4WD are primarily designed for tying down your vehicle during transit. Some vehicles come with a stronger point on the front but this still hasn't been tested by the manufacturer and rated for recovery or towing purposes. All Road Safe tow points have been destruction tested and give a Working Load Limited (WWL). In most cases the points were destruction tested up to 18,000Kgs+ to ensure they have the ability to cope with a variety of potential recovery situations. These points are designed to work with 3.25T bow shackles.

For best results and safety, it is advised to have two of these points fitted and use a bridle / equaliser strap to even the loads through both points. When using the bow shackles with this point, ensure the "bow"of the shackle is attached to the point and the pin of the shackle has the strap attached to it. This will then enable the shackles to rotate to different angles as your vehicle is towed. The equaliser strap supplied has a sleeve in the middle to ensure the strap you attach to it doesn't damage the equaliser strap.
