Snorkels & Air Intakes

Snorkels are well known for preventing water from being accidentally sucked into the engine's intake. This is an important part of any 4x4 build that should not be overlooked.

If you are planning on fording any water crossings you should definately think about getting a snorkel, but there's one other benefit that isn't often thought about. Dust.

As you travel on a gravel or dirt road you'll notice the car in front of you is throwing up a lot of dust into the air. You can avoid this by staying further behind the lead vehicle, but to help even further we recommend the use of a snorkel. A snorkel gets the air intake high above the roof of the vehicle and limits the dust intake. This means cleaning & replacing your air filter less often.
