Central Australia Regional Map
Central Australia's a big place, but with this new format map from Hema you should be able to find your way around most of it. Hema have combined four of their Great Desert Tracks sheets to make this one, so it's got wide coverage and loads to do if you enjoy desert driving.
At 1:2,000,000 this is a small scale map, but it manages to fit in an amazing amount of information. All seven of the main outback trips are covered on it with all the detail you'll need to plan a trip. The complete Tanami Track is there, thanks to an insert of the top section, and there's a list of National Park facilities. Hundreds of key locations are marked with lat and long so you can find them easily. The detail on the map now includes where fuel is on sale and what types they have, even autogas. If you're worried about paying for your fuel it shows the EFTPOS facilities too. Finally you get a list of contact numbers that should see you right no matter where you've ended up.
Turn the map over and you've got another mass of information, complete with photos, to help you work out where to go and
what to do. Like all Hema maps it's beautifully printed on high grade paper and should last you a good long while. If you're planning on a trip in to the middle we really recommend this map.
