Off road driving has a pretty rugged image, which is the way it should be. We get out there and do without a lot of everyday comforts, because we enjoy it. That doesn’t mean we can’t show a bit of class when we want, though, and a really appropriate way to do that is with Treadz 4wd jewellery.
Treadz is a new project by award-winning Queensland jewellery studio Delross Design, and it seems they’re also 4wd enthusiasts. That’s always good to hear anyway, but their love of the outdoors has inspired them to create a range of shiny stuff aimed at off roaders. It’s great-looking, amazingly well made and the prices are good, too.
Whatever kind of jewellery you like to wear, you’ll find something in the Treadz range that suits you. There are pieces that suit both men and women, as well as plenty that are ideal for both. Everything has been carefully designed to be as close to the original item as possible, then made with real craftsmanship, and that’s produced amazing results. Fine details and loads of imagination make for some awesome bling, in a choice of metals. The main materials are sterling silver and titanium, but if you prefer gold you can have that too.
We reckon their rings are going to be the most popular items. Want to wear your favourite tread pattern on your finger? Now you can – Treadz have a whole range of rings modelled on different tyres, including Swampers and BF Goodrich mud tyres. There are also rings based on a hub lock and a spanner.
Earrings are well represented too, with more tyres or some neat little pistons. The piston theme has also been turned into bracelets and chains, or there’s a really nice two-piece pendant with separate connecting rod. Other pendants include a lovely silver drive shaft with working joints, a turbo or another tyre. Finally there are a few miscellaneous items, including cufflinks and a keyring.
Any Treadz piece is a perfect gift for someone who enjoys 4wd driving, or a nice present to yourself if you want a stylish way to display your interests. As jewellery goes it’s a little bit different, so it’s bound to get some attention.
